Designed and constructed while studying at Copenhagen’s Danish Institute of Study Abroad in Furniture Design Studio and Workshop in 2013. The chair was designed using Danish Modern principles; What is essential? Understanding the material’s properties and resolving these in a straightforward manner. The chair seen here is constructed from Swedish maple and cotton webbing and designed to fit your body. It’s a great reading chair or equally, a waiting room chair. This chair was judged best by the faculty and awarded the Kaare Klint Award under the auspices of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (Klintiana, the Centre for the study of Kaare Klint’s architecture and design sponsors this award).
